As Christmas approaches, it's time to get into the festive spirit – by giving away three wonderful books from our friends over at Walker Books

Penguin Problems, words by John Jory, illustrations by Lane Smith.
In this book, we find out that it's not easy being a penguin. For one thing, it's pretty cold in Antarctica. And if you think it's tough to find your mum in a huge crowd of penguins... imagine how difficult it is to find your mum in a huge crowd of identical penguins. Also, there's every chance you will get eaten...

Blue Penguin by Petr Horacek.
There are penguins aplenty in Petr Horacek's latest book, too; Blue Penguin is about a bird who doesn't fit in because he is not the same colour as the other penguins, who tell him: "You're not like us." In this moving story of friendship and belonging, can Blue Penguin convince the others that he really is just like them?

The Christmas Eve Tree, words by Delia Huddy, illustrations by Emily Sutton.
And if you've had enough of penguins, you can get into the Christmas spirit with Delia Huddy and Emily Sutton's wintery tale The Christmas Eve Tree. When an ugly fir tree is taken into the city to be sold, nobody wants to buy him: most people want a taller, prettier version. But when the tree is taken down to the river by a homeless boy, it becomes the centre of an unforgettable celebration in this modern tale that has the feel of a Christmas classic.
